Essentials For The Ultimate At-Home Self Care Day

Is there really anything better than devoting a day to self-care and just pampering yourself? If you are answering yes, then we seriously need to talk.


I live for my weekend rituals of devoting at least part of either Saturday or Sunday to self-care. Whether I take an hour to paint my nails and read a book or spend the day doing a full blown spa session, self care is important and should be made a priority. I'm not preaching to go get a $50 manicure or spend crazy money on spa treatments and call that self care, I mean you can if you want, but i'm talking giving yourself a minute to just freaking breathe and connect mind to body. Letting the mind rest is crucial for overall well-being, so why not indulge a little while doing so.

While you are pampering, make it a point to do something that also stimulates your mind - listen to a podcast or music, read a book, get your creative juices flowing. The connection between mind and body are important and it is even more important to practice the idea of self-love and self-care, often.
